Back for our 5th visit! We love this place - the hosts Erika & Rob are fantastic (always going out of their way to make your holiday as perfect as possible), the gites are super comfy and well equipped for every family, the pool is the big attraction and loved by all families, the region is simply gorgeous... This place has been our go to every year since we discovered it! A founding member of The Gin & Tonic club.

Over the years we have stayed in many gites throughout Brittany, however this was by far the best gite we have ever stayed in. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 2 children The gite is so clean and comfortable and has everything you need and more.The pool area is amazing and the grounds just perfect for our 2 grandkids to explore and play
Erika and Rob are super friendly and always happy to recommend places to go and local attractions.
We explored Quimper Concarneau Benodet Carnac to name just a few places and hubby and I had the most amazing meal at Moulin de rosmadec in Pont Aven.Thank you Erika and Rob We leave with many happy memories and cannot wait to return x

Stayed for 14 days in Moros with daughter ,son-in-law and grandchildren - perfect place to let the children have a bit of freedom on their bikes or sandpit and play barn .The location is excellent for the many beaches ,we visited 3 different ones ,but kept returning to the excellent Kerleven beach at La Foret which was a recommendation from Erika .We were lucky with the weather and the kids really loved the pool ,all in all it was a lovely holiday in very comfortable gites and I would have no hesitation to recommend anyone to stay at Keranmeriet

Erica and Rob are perfect hosts, warm welcoming and very accommodating. Their accommodation is set in a beautiful location with lots of lovely beaches and town/ villages to visit close by. The property itself has everything we required and a beautiful pool to chill by, very peaceful and relaxing.  We would highly recommend.

Barnett - July 2024 - The Farmhouse

We enjoyed a really lovely family week in The Farmhouse in July 2024. Erika and Rob were great hosts and we were delighted with the accommodation. The Farmhouse has an enormous living area, spacious bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen as well as a lovely seating area surrounded by plants and flowers. The pool and pool area are very attractive and the barn with the table tennis table was great for our two teenage boys (and myself TBH). There are several other gites on Erika and Rob's farm, but despite that the pool and facilities were never busy. And there is plenty to do in the local area when you aren't relaxing at the property, Concarneau, Pont Aven and Quimper all worth the visit. More prosaically, Rosporden locally has the necessary supermarket/boulangerie etc facilities within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Highly recommended by us.

Entspannter Aufenthalt auf einem Cottage

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Melgven. Das Grundstück ist riesig, ruhig gelegen und lädt zu Spaziergängen ein. Erika und Rin standen bei Fragen immer zur Verfügung. Man benötigt auf jeden Fall ein Auto, um flexibel zu bleiben . Pont Aven, Quimper und Concarneau sind ganz in der Nähe sowie diverse Kuestenabschnitte für kurze oder lange Wanderungen. Das Haus war sauber und wunderschön gemütlich eingerichtet. Vielen Dank an Erika und Ron

Un cottage en Bretagne !!!!

C’est un des plus bel endroit dans lequel nous sommes allés : l’emplacement calme et tranquille, le gîte extrêmement propre, très bien décoré, très bien équipé… dans un esprit cottage anglais….

On a tout aimé : les animaux (poules, canards, chats, chien), le jardin, l’espace piscine et bien sûr l’accueil, la gentillesse et la disponibilité d’Erika, Rob et leurs fils sans oublier le panier d’accueil avec les produits maison!!!!

Nous reviendrons à coup sûr!

We had a wonderful holiday at Keranmeriet. The gite was so well appointed, clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The welcome box and fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The local area is beautiful, lots of interesting towns and villages and wonderful beaches. The gites are set in beautiful countryside and the pool area was excellent. Our teen sons loved playing table tennis in the barn, where there were also lots of toys for younger children as well as an honesty shop (try the jam and the cider!). Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, there was a folder with extensive information on the local area and they also lent us their son's bike at one point. An excellent stay at a beautiful place, highly recommended.

Keranmeriet was good to find. I/we can commend it to anyone looking to find a quiet and lovely place, with excellent accommodation, the most helpful and friendly owners of the site, a clean safe and child-friendly swimming pool, bikes for the borrowing, toys and games on hand, barbecues in each garden as well as a well-stocked kitchen in each house and nearby a whole choice of excellent wide, clean beaches with few folk on them and easy parking too. Food quality just at the local supermarket (2km) was excellent. The Keranmeriet site is itself a reminder of what a natural landscape ought to look like, complete with fast-flowing clean river Aven. Good wi-fi too. Every aspect seemed to work well for our family group.

Super gîte très bien équipé y compris pour les jeunes enfants, super propriétaires très à l’écoute et très accueillants, super endroit pour se balader. Seule la météo a fait défaut lors de notre séjour pour profiter pleinement de la belle piscine, mais le domaine a d’autres ressources (balade, pêche, ping-pong, jeux de société…). Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

We have just returned from a lovely 2 weeks staying at Belon, one of 7 gites at Keranmeriet. Erika and Rob were very welcoming and the gite was a home from home with everything we needed including large grounds with a lake and river walks, a heated pool and BBQ. Beautiful location close to many traditional Breton towns with markets, restaurants and beaches aplenty. Nice touch with the welcome pack on our arrival and the farm produce was delicious, especially the honey. We will definitely be back.

Just come back from a week with family of 8 (3 generations), and hired Farmhouse and Odet Cottage. Erika and Rob couln't be better hosts, from the welcoming freshly cut wildflowers to the wealth of information they have about the local area. The accomodation was spotless and well equiped and felt all very new and up to date. The place still had a feeling of a farm yard and being able to feed the chickens the kitchen scraps was a highlight for the little ones. There is also a play barn, and although we didn't have a drop of rain, they still enjoyed going inside and playing with a variety of toys and games. The pool of course was a great success! The surroundings, with the wooded walk down to the meadow and pond, the open fields, well kept gardens and the vast amount of wildlife, was a delight. Rosporden was only 10 minutes away with 2 supermarkets and a brilliant boulangerie for those morning croissants. Really good beaches in easy reach, lovely local towns like Concarnea and Pont Aven on the doorstop and even Brest with its amazing aquarium was only an hour away. Couldn't fault the Gite, the location and the friendly hosts. Thanks and look forward to seeing you next year!

Séjour très agréable, hôte très sympathiques et charmants. Chacun a bien son espace et le coin est très calme. La piscine est disponible à certaines périodes de l'année. Les productions locales sont excellentes. Idéal pour les enfants qui peuvent voir les poules et faire de la balançoire.

On n'est pas loin de la mer et de belles plages à proximité en voiture.

Above and beyond

This was our second visit to this beautiful area, and we had a brilliant holiday. The location is great, the gites are homely, having everything you need, it’s from home. The kids especially enjoy their time here, it’s safe and they can just go out and play with the other children, there is plenty to keep them entertained with the pool, games room, feeding the chickens and ducks, exploring the meadow, going in the rowing boat and a whole lot more. Rob and Erica are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble, you can see how special it is here by the families who come back year after year! We’ve just returned from a stay in the Farmhouse at Keranmeriet, and none of us wanted to leave. It’s a wonderful place set in the Brittany countryside but not far from the many beaches. We were a family of 4, and the spacious farmhouse was perfect for us. The shared pool here really is the perfect place to relax and our children - 11 and 14 - loved it. The owners, Erica and Rob, are great hosts, making you feel welcome on their farm and willing to answer any questions about the property or the local area. They were also very diligent in handling the booking, payments etc and provided a detailed route to reach their property from Roscoff. We were looking for somewhere to relax after a stressful few years and this was the perfect location.

Wunderbarer Urlaub! Tolle Unterkunft!

Wir haben mit unseren 3 Jungs 2 tolle Wochen in Keranmeriet verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist super ausgestattet und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die erholsame Ruhe, die hübsche Umgebung und der kleine separate Garten machen die Erholung perfekt. Die Kinder haben supergerne die Hühner gefüttert, in der Spielscheune Tischtennis gespielt, mit den Hunden gespielt und im Pool geplanscht. Aber auch die umliegenden Orte und Strände bieten total viel Abwechslung. Wir sind auf tollen Wegen am Atlantik gewandert, waren auf den Glenans Inseln und haben viele der kleine Orten sehen. Die Bretagne werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen, und ganz bestimmt auch Keranmeriet.

We recently returned to Keranmeriet where we have stayed a number of times in various of the 7 gites. This time it was in the huge farmhouse. We keep returning because of the hosts and the position, countryside yet so close to the best beaches in France, with names like tahiti and le paradis. The gites are well equipped and built of massive stone walls, having previously been barns. The pool is perfect, warm with lovely surroundings for dozing adults or children. You can go on lovely walks without leaving the farm, but dont miss the beaches! Rob and Erika are wonderful hosts, completely unobtrusive but magically there if you need them. You will feel the gites is yours. Blissfully peaceful, I can highly recommend a stay at Keranmeriet.

Just got back from the perfect family holiday here. Our extended family of three generations stayed in three neighbouring gites which meant that we all had our own space but could easily spend time together. Perfect location for relaxing or for going on day trips. Erika and Rob were so attentive, the gites were immaculate and fully equipped with everything you could need. The welcome basket and fresh flowers were a thoughtful touch. There is a beautiful meadow to explore and the pool was a big hit with the children, as were the chickens, dogs and cats. Un très bel accueil par toute la famille d'Erika et Rob! C'est un lieu idéal pour un séjour à la campagne dans ce cocon de verdure tout en étant à proximité des points d'intérêt touristiques de la région! Le gite est spacieux, très propre et bien équipé. Et c'est particulièrement adapté pour les enfants avec le bac à sable, les petits tracteurs, la piscine et la balançoire!

We have recently returned from our stay at Keranmeriet which we thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed in The Dairy which was absolutely perfect for our active toddler. The pretty, enclosed garden kept her safe and entertained and we also loved the pool and the play area. The grounds were stunning and great for exploring. Keranmeriet was a great base for exploring Brittany. We were able to visit many of the local beaches and towns. There is so much to see and do that we could of easily stayed another couple of weeks! Hopefully we will return at some point! Thank you to Erika and Rob for being so helpful and hospitable throughout our stay.

The Dairy was perfect, very comfortable and everything we needed was to hand. Rob and Erika made our stay even better, we were not ready to leave after three weeks and will definitely return next year. Lovely pool and gardens too! There is much more to see in the area than we expected, and so many beautiful beaches close by, it felt like nowhere was too far which ever direction we chose. Big thank you.

We have been to the Dairy for a month for the past 5 years and you couldn’t find a better home from home, or a better host and hostess than Rob and Erica. They always go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable and that you leave with happy memories. Although we enjoy visiting old haunts e.g. Concarneau, Benodet the beaches etc. we still find new places to go. This year it was The Valley of the saints (a must see). On the odd occasion that the weather is bad it is still cosy sitting in the warmth of the Dairy watching the rain.

Owners were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Gite was as described and perfect for a couple. Swimming pool was added bonus. Easy access to beaches. Nearest town not particularly inviting though nice walk round lake. Pont Aven only 15 minutes away with good eating options and lovely setting. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing break.

Gemma August/September 2016 This is our second time renting the dairy. It is our fifth time returning returning to the farm,this speaks for itself. Last year we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren, it was a wonderful occasion, Erika and Rob were extremely helpful. My wife and I holiday a lot in Europe and Keranmeriet is without a doubt our No.1 location. Mr/s Clifford May 2014  Excellent communication with Erika before and after booking – all queries responded to promptly etc. We were the only customers (start of season) so we enjoyed the flexibility of arrival/departure days and times to suit us. Erika & Rob were on hand if needed but never intrusive. Lovely location, very peaceful and relaxing spot but near enough local towns for all amenities. Well maintained properties and grounds and spotlessly clean. Comfortable and well appointed. Fresh flowers and welcome pack on arrival much appreciated, as was the advice on where to go and what to see. Just not enough time to do everything we wanted! Would certainly recommend it to others and great for families – lovely place for walking and exploring the local area. Thank you! It was clean and comfortable, had wonderfull views and was perfectly set up for someone like David who, although not totally dependent on a wheelchair, has very limited mobility. Rob and Erika were great host and the location is peacefull and relaxing but also a great base for exploring all that Brittany has to offer.

Perfect Find, Sep 2018

Have just returned home after spending two weeks in this delightful gite. We stayed in The Farmhouse which was very spacious and extremely well equipped, even down to cleaning materials, which is unusual but so convenient. The location is idyllic, set in the beautiful Brittany countryside, away from noisy traffic and yet conveniently near to lots of interesting places ,that is if you can tear yourself away from the lovely heated pool !! Erika and Rob are excellent hosts aided by their three delightful sons, Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for an escape from the hurly burly of everyday life.

We had a fortnight in the Farmhouse in July, and had a lovely time. The property is wonderfully spacious and bright, and had everything we needed. The farm is a great location, with walks down to the river and through the woods, and a beautiful pool area (I’m not sure we appreciated how attractive it was going to be just from the photos on the website – the real thing is charming).

It was easy to find things to do very nearby for the whole family (grown ups and children aged 10 and 13) – we spent lazy time on beaches (Port Manech, Raguenes, Trevignan especially) and swimming in the sea (the water around the Iles de Glenan really is as clear and blue, and the sand as fine and white as it looks in the publicity photos). When we needed to get some exercise, the coast path round from Raguenes was very attractive, and the paddle-boarding and kayaking at Port Manech was great fun without being at all hard-core. Pont Aven, Concarneau and Quimper provided the culture and urban interest we needed – and nice things to eat, of course. We hardly had to go further afield, although we went to Carnac to say we had seen the stones and on to Quiberon to enjoy a beach resort, rather than a rural beach. And although Rosporden probably doesn’t feature in many guide books, it provided exactly the sort of normal, non-touristy French town that gave the children a good sense of being in a different country; good food shops, a weekly market, a pretty church and so on. We would recommend this corner of Brittany, and I can’t imagine you would find a better experience than a stay at Keranmeriet.

Great location, being in its own huge farmland and forest, with masses of space to park. There are lovely walks taking in the river Aven (more of a stream) and a lake without even leaving Rob and Erikas land. The beaches are some of the best we have ever seen, and are only a short drive away. The coast path is glorious. Very child friendly, with lots of exploring but equally peaceful and relaxing for the adults. The owners have built lovely stone gites with all the mod cons, in an enviable environment. We were sad to leave.

Just spent a week in The Farmhouse. Just lovely! Three big bedrooms and all the space you need. The site is great with plenty of space to walk and a good size pool.

Keranmeriet itself is ideally located for the beaches at Port Manech (recommended) and La Foret (also recommended). Coffee and the market in Pont Aven is worth it as is a leisurely lunch in the old city at Concarneau.

We had a great time and were well looked after by Erika and Rob.

Now, you found your holiday, if it’s available then book it. Don’t wait, do it now.

Brilliant facilities for young children very safe, we travelled with my daughter her husband and ten month old grandson. Everything was there for us and it was like a home from home. Shutters meant we had no early wake ups too. Eriika was very helpful from our first booking until we left. I would thoroughly recommend this property for families and other groups of people. Good location too!

We were a party of grandparents, parents, toddler and baby. Rob and Erika provide everything that young children need, from cots to bikes to chickens to feed. Adults enjoyed walks around the farm, fishing in the trout lake and taking the kayaks down the River Aven to the sea. We used the wonderful new heated swimming pool every day. So many lovely beaches and coastal walks are within 20 minutes and Pont Aven and Concarneau are full of great places to eat. This was our second visit to Keranmeriet and we would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday, with great English hosts in a quiet part of Brittany.

“We stayed for one week at the beginning of August and had a super time. The gite was fantastic- very spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need while on holiday. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise on arrival. It was nice to sit out in the garden at the rear of the gite and the children enjoyed being able to play safely in the grounds of the farm. The swimming pool was immaculately clean and it was nice and refreshing after a day in the sun. Rob and Erica were extremely friendly and helpful and were very knowledgeable about the local area. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Keranmeriet and will certainly stay there again on return to Brittany. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.”

This was an ideal place for a family gathering involving several generations. We could have our own space and communal space, the children of all ages loved, variously, the pool, trees and meadows, the gites were clean and well appointed, and so many beautiful beaches and towns were within easy driving distance. Erika and Rob were perfect hosts.

Nous sommes bien rentrés à la maison. On a fait une escale à Amiens.

C’était un choix parfait pour venir en vacances chez vous !

Le gite Belon de ‘Keranmariet’ était très propre avec des chambres confortables et avait tout ce qu’il faut pour nous faire sentir à l’aise.

Un paradis pour les enfants, les parents et les grands-parents. Le magnifique cadre verdoyant, la belle piscine spacieuse chauffée, le chien Luna et les chiots, les poules et les oies, tout ce qui donne détente et repos.

La maison est très confortable et a beaucoup de place, de sorte que vous pouvez vous sentir à l’aise avec plus d’une personne. La maison offre tout ce qui était nécessaire de l’hébergement, la présence d’une lave-vaisselle et d’une machine à laver est un plus.

Idéalement situé , il y a beaucoup d’activités à faire autour de la place, visitez les villes typiquement bretonnes et les belles plages.

We’ve just had our second fabulous half term holiday at Keranmeriet. We stayed in Belon which was spotless, very spacious for the 5 of us and had all we needed. The children loved the freedom of the outside space, borrowing bikes and heading down to the meadow. We all appreciated the welcome addition of the new pool heater-thanks Rob! Pool was lovely and warm.

Erika and Rob are perfect hosts, around if you need anything but never intrusive and our children enjoyed playing with the boys very much. Erika is a star and helped me out when we arrived with hungry children and food less disorganised parents-thanks Erika, I promise to plan better next time!

The area is perfect for a family holiday-clean quiet pretty beaches, you are spoilt for choice! We enjoyed trips to the iles de glenan and hiring a kayak on port manech beach. The high ropes adventure place just down the road-Adrenature is just brilliant. Loads of zip wires and plenty to entertain for a few hours. I’m sure we’ll be back xx

We found Keranmeriet quite by chance on a google search, and we were delighted with the full holiday package that the cottage, area and hosts provided. We had our 17th month twin boys, ourselves and grandparents on the trip. The cottage and child safe garden were very well equipped ,with toys for the children and even a set of boules for the adults.

It was my first visit to Brittany and I was very impressed with the places and beaches within a short drive. Pont Aven and Concarneau are a must and our fav beach was Port Manech. The weather was excellent, perfect, not too hot for little ones. The welcome pack and maps were very helpful, but many thanks to Rob, Erica and family who were on hand to help with any questions. It felt a very friendly and welcoming home from home and for all those that need it, Wi fi is available in the yard nr the farmhouse. They even provided a table and sun umbrella. Would definitely recommend these cottages and hope to be back.

Just returned from another amazing break at this beautiful property. This really is a well presented home from home, everything you need or want. The location is perfect with beautiful beaches, lovely towns, excellent restaurants and attractions for all ages between 10 – 30 minutes away. Erika and Rob are exceptional hosts, always on hand to help or advise, but never intrusive. They are a lovely family who we now consider friends. I’ve already booked for next year!

A lovely gite in very quiet surroundings but close enough to the local facilities and lots of different beaches. The eggs from the farm chickens were delicious and we brought some honey from their bees home as well. Pool was great and never very busy. Accomodation was clean and had everything you could need including lots of very hot water! The owners were very friendly and offered advice on local facilities. We would recommend a stay here.

Another great week thank you. Lovely property in a beautiful setting. Great pool and the little walk down to the meadow and woods is wonderful. House was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed to stay with 4 under 6’s!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aven, everything you need for a comfortable hassle free holiday.The gite was clean tidy and well equipped, beautiful views with your own private garden to sit out in the evenings.There are a vast selection of beaches only 15/20 minutes away with a varying amount of facilities, Pont Aven and Port Manech well worth a visit. If you dont fancy a beach day then the pool is a great size with plenty of sunbathing room within the garden that surrounds it. Plenty of supermarkets within 5/10 minutes, Super U, Lidle or Aldi.A big thank you to Erika and Rob for being on hand for any queries.10/10 for us, can not recommend enough !!!

My husband Derek and I were looking for somewhere to stay for our 40th anniversary with our family and friends Derek picked Keranmeriet he phoned and Rob & Erica where so helpful with the arrangements, and when we arrived the help did not stop they are a lovely family and made us very welcome and the accommodation is just perfect everything you could need. The location is very central for towns and beaches we were a party of 20 and everyone could do their own thing or go as a group.
