About the Farmhouse
The Farmhouse, with its rich 200-year history, was once our cherished family home. Recently renovated and completely refurbished for our guests, it retains the charming character and original features of a typical Breton farmhouse.
The spacious lounge and kitchen with a cozy wood-burning fire, offer the perfect setting to gather with family and friends, providing ample room and privacy for a group of six. The large bedrooms promise a restful night's sleep after a day of exploration.
Additionally, the Farmhouse boasts its own private garden, creating a serene retreat for relaxation and enjoyment.
Rooms
Ground floor
This is the original Farmhouse dating back 200 years. It still has lots of original features and is south facing with its own private garden. The front door opens into an entrance hall with a separate cupboard for hanging coats.
Kitchen
There is a large kitchen with identical furniture as the other cottages. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of workspace and has all the modern equipment you should need during your stay. Alongside all the usual equipment you would expect, this includes:

There is a large farmhouse style pine table with 6 chairs and a highchair/booster seat can also be provided if needed.
Lounge
This spacious room exudes charm with its original stone wall and wooden beams, centered around a cozy wood-burning stove. It also features two electric radiators for added warmth. Relax on the large four-seater sofa or one of the two comfortable armchairs. For entertainment, enjoy the television with both English and French channels, a DVD player, radio, CD player, and an assortment of toys, books and indoor and outdoor games.
Bathroom
Conveniently located, the downstairs bathroom includes a toilet, sink, and a shower cubicle.
First floor
Master Bedroom
A large double bedroom with a lovely view over the courtyard and valley beyond. It has just been refurbished and redecorated and has a double bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table (with hairdryer), and wardrobe.
Bedroom One
A twin room with a view over the courtyard and countryside. It wood furniture with two single beds, bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, and a wardrobe.
Bedroom Two
Another large twin room with a view over the courtyard. The pine furniture consists of two single beds, bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, and a wardrobe.
Family Bathroom
A spacious room with modern white furniture, a toilet, sink, large bath, and a separate shower cubicle. A baby bath or seat can be supplied if needed.
Garden
The Farmhouse boasts a charming private fenced garden offering picturesque views of the surrounding gardens and woods. The garden is south facing and features a delightful patio and lawn area equipped with a BBQ, parasol, table and chairs, and comfortable sun loungers, perfect for outdoor relaxation and dining.
Guest Review
Just come back from a week with family of 8 (3 generations), and hired Farmhouse and Odet Cottage. Erika and Rob couln't be better hosts, from the welcoming freshly cut wildflowers to the wealth of information they have about the local area. The accomodation was spotless and well equiped and felt all very new and up to date. The place still had a feeling of a farm yard and being able to feed the chickens the kitchen scraps was a highlight for the little ones. There is also a play barn, and although we didn't have a drop of rain, they still enjoyed going inside and playing with a variety of toys and games. The pool of course was a great success! The surroundings, with the wooded walk down to the meadow and pond, the open fields, well kept gardens and the vast amount of wildlife, was a delight. Rosporden was only 10 minutes away with 2 supermarkets and a brilliant boulangerie for those morning croissants. Really good beaches in easy reach, lovely local towns like Concarnea and Pont Aven on the doorstop and even Brest with its amazing aquarium was only an hour away. Couldn't fault the Gite, the location and the friendly hosts. Thanks and look forward to seeing you next year!
